Young Volunteers – Looking for some work experience? Volunteer at the library, one or more hours per week. Regular meetings Wednesdays from 2 – 4 pm. Other hours available. For ages 12 and up. Summer Reading Club Deluxe for Teens – Read a book, magazine, website or comic. Listen to a CD. Watch a movie. Then fill in a ballot at the Library, to be eligible for a weekly draw. Post your comments or drawings about what you read and help decorate a table for the Teen Zone. Join us every Monday or Wednesday from 11 am until 1 pm in the Teen Zone to talk about what you have been reading/viewing/listening to. We’ll provide some snacks and be available to help you find some more great stuff. Central Library in Market Square.

Wii Bowling for Adults – Tuesdays from 3:00 – 4:00 pm (starting July 13)
The Library is starting a Wii Bowling League for older adults and seniors. Enjoy the fun of the lanes (without the cost of shoe rentals). No experience necessary. Staff will provide instruction. Call Sean at 643-7220 for more information. Central Library in Market Square.

Computer Tutorials. – Call 643-7224 for a free appointment. Learn how to use Microsoft office products to write a letter, prepare a spreadsheet or offer a presentation. Surf the Internet, set up an email or find friends on facebook. Central Library in Market Square.

Preschool Storytime – Join us from 10:30 – 11:00 am for stories, songs, fingerplays and lots of crayons too! Ages 3 – 5. Younger children are welcome with an adult. Wednesdays and Saturdays at Central Library, Thursdays at East Branch and Fridays at West Branch All Branches.

Storytime at West Branch – Fridays, starting September 14th, 10:30 am -11:15 am. Drop in for stories, songs and crafts. For children ages 3 and up. West Branch.

Family Drop-in Program – Books and activity sheets for parent/caregivers and children to share. Available any time the library is open. All Branches.

Parent Child Book Club – Monthly Saturday meetings from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. Moms and Dads, bring your children aged 11 and up to this new and exciting programme where you can chat about a favourite book you have shared together with fellow book enthusiasts. Next meeting, June 14th. West Branch.

The Knitting Club – Wednesday nights at 7:00pm. A program for children ages 9+. Learn how to knit and enjoy the company of other kids. Please pre-register by calling 643-7260. West Branch.
